The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation (TDI-DWC) recognized DETEX Corporation for its exemplary safety program  during its 12th Annual Safety and Health Conference, The Texas Safety Summit, in Austin.  Detex was 1 of only 2 companies in the state to receive this honor.

As a five-time recipient of this award, DETEX Corporation has an outstanding safety culture in which its employees are encouraged to participate in hazard reporting and on safety committees. The company also participates in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's OSHCON (Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Program) Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP).

The TDI-DWC Peer Review Safety Award Program recognizes Texas employers that have comprehensive safety programs. Once approved, these programs can serve as models or standards of comparison for employers developing or reviewing their own workplace safety programs.
